Samsung Wants Its Smartwatch To Use Your Veins For Identification In Future

Samsung recently had one its patents granted, the patent reveals a technology that will bring a new kind of biometric user authentication system to wearables in future.

This way, the company plans to identify users with their veins. How will this work?

Based on the patent, a light sensor and camera sensor would be able to detect a user’s vein structure and pulse. Biologically, vein structure and pulse are unique, leaving room to accurately identify a user putting on the wearable.
There are a lot of things the technology would bring in future, including the possibility of replacing the current fingerprint sensor, password sign-in and of course, it could also be used to authenticate mobile payment
