SoloPhone is a made in Nigeria smartphone and has been around for a while, with a commercial launch in November 2013. Three smartphones are offered for $80 and $150, which puts them on the average of entry-level smartphones. The team behind it includes former executives from the telecom industry such as HTC or Ericsson, so it’s more than just a startup with a cool idea.
If you don’t know, All SOLO Smartphones are Google (GMS) certified dual-SIM Android smartphones with free music up to 20 million songs. Packaged with competitive data bundles from mobile operator partners
SOLO S410 is a quad-core, 4-inch smartphone that comes in two colours – an attractive white and silver, and a sleek black and rose-gold. With its 5 megapixel rear camera and great front facing camera, the phone comes with 4GB of internal storage (with a memory card slot expandable up to 32GB) and sports a 1.2GHz Qualcomm chip, giving you even faster performance on-the-go.
While SOLO S500 is loaded with 8GB internal memory and 1GB Ram, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera with 1800mAh battery capacity.
I checked on Jumia and Konga and they are not even marketing it the way they market other smartphones. Is it that Nigerian smartphones companies are below standards or what? Why are you not patronizing made in Nigeria Smartphone?
